[edit] Description
RN given refers to unlabeled parent cpd. This is a neuromuscular blocking agent that act in AchE and inhibit it's activity. This drug combine with receptor site at the post synaptic membrane normally used by acetylcholine and thus block the neurotransmitter action of acetylcholine. Therefore they are referred to as competitive blocking agent since they are competeting for the same receptor site as acetylcholine. As these drug are slowly metabolized, the paralysis pases off.
