2 Fold the ear gently backwards. Look for any signs about redness, soreness or unusual colored wax. Normal wax should be soft brown. If the wax is red or black, you should receive your cat checked out via a veterinarian.

3 Wipe the wax off the hair on your cat's ear with any cotton gauze, dampened with double drops of hydrogen peroxide or some ear cleanse pad to cats.

4 Wet some clean cotton gauze plus wipe once more until all the wax is removed out of off the cat's hair.
