3a,16-Dihydroxyandrostenone is a urinary C19 steroid usually present in very low level in normal pregnancy; however, it is increased in women with androgenic alopecia (PMID 10751586) and in a patient who developed virilizing luteoma during the 8th month of pregnancy (PMID 14004108)
