IITs
IITs or Indian Institutions of Technology are the deram Institutions of all the Indian students for the Science and Technology. These are established for boosting up technological power of the country. Till 2008 these were total seven in number : IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee and IIT Gowahati. Now six new IITs are also added to this list.
